Communication within an Interracial Relationship

Today I came across an article about how interracial discuss race. It can be a touchy topic, but one that must be tackled in order to have a healthy relationship. It's also worth noting that every couple is different and most importantly, we need to make sure that there is an understanding between the two individuals.

Check out this article. It's great that 15 percent of new marriages are interracial, but that makes me wonder why the makers of Cheerios received such harsh backlash when they ran their blended family commercial. I'm especially pleased to hear of this bi-racial's couple to create a website in response to such backlash.  We are the 15 percent

Where We Fit In

I would like for my blog to become a place where blended families can share their stories and meet other families like themselves. As a mother of a bi-racial son and a Jewish man, we often find ourselves in situations where we stick out, but then sometimes we fit in just right.

Is it fair to criticize Black Women for Dating Interracially given the Shocking Statistics?

After receiving an overwhelming amount of backlash with regards to my book, "Why Every Black Woman Should Marry A Jewish Man: A Book For All Women Looking for the Perfect Alpha Male"
now available on Amazon!   I would like to pose the question: Is it fair to criticize Black Women for Dating Interracially given the Shocking Statistics?  According to the Pew Research Center about 24% of all black male newlyweds in 2000 married outside of their race compared with just 9% of black female newlyweds. And according to the US Census Bureau, in 2000, there were 1.8 million more black women than black men, coupled with the fact that only 31% of black women were married and 70% of professional black women have never been married. Given all of these terrible statistics surrounding marriage and dating, how can anyone, especially black men, criticize black women for dating and marrying outside of their race? Please feel free to share your response and weigh in on this question!
